some new fox noirs coming to dvd
anyone seen this one called Fallen Angel? looks kinda good.

I watched "out of the past" this weekend, that was a good one. the beginging was very reminiscent of the recent 'a history of violence'.

Yeah I've seen it, its no Maltese Falcon and there are some weak characters but its not too bad. Directed by Otto Preminger who is always worth seeing though its one of his lesser efforts. If you haven't seen it, I'd watch Laura which is an amazing film before you go for Fallen Angel- even so I wouldn't write this one off. The basic premise is that a young man arrives in town and causes chaos in the expectations of some of the women there- its a good old sinister film but unlike most noirs it offers the prospect of redemption.
